| Camille Te Nahu (Gisborne, NZ)
and Stuart (Stuie) French (Tasmania, Australia)
are one of the hottest duos in Australian country
music, and they're coming to NZ to play a handful
of shows.
Stuie French has long been one of Australia's
finest guitar pickers, touring and recording
with all the stars of Australian country music
as well as touring with his own band, the “Feral
Swing Katz”.
Camille Te Nahu, with a voice as smooth as
velvet, was the backing singer of choice (Kasey
Chambers, Gina Jeffreys, Beccy Cole) before
launching her own successful career.
Their early albums "Recovered" (2007)
and "Not Without You" (2005) earned
them Duo Of The Year, Instrumental and Female
Vocal Of The Year awards from various respected
Australian/N.Z. associations, and they released
a new album in August 2008 titled “The
Kindy Sessions”.
Together, Camille and Stuie mix jazz, country
and popular ballads with sassy duets, with Camille’s
beautiful voice complemented by Stuie's stellar
guitar work.
So if you take a bit from Les Paul and Mary
Ford, Chet Atkins, Anne Murray, Merle Haggard
and KD Lang, you have a taste of what Camille
and Stuie have to offer.
